Johnny “Bad Eye” G. Evans, 85, was called to his heavenly home on August 6, 2020, with his family at his side.
Johnny was born on March 8, 1935 to Green and Zada Avans. He was a resident of Jasper, Tn. Johnny was the owner and operator of Evans Trucking in Jasper, Tn.
Johnny was known for his love and dedication of being a truck driver. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, cruising the roads and hanging out at the local restaurants with his fellow friends. Johnny’s true love was spending quality time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Green and Zada Avans; son, Johnny Avans; daughter, Carol Avans; sister, Mary Elizabeth Avans and stepson, Doyle Rust.
Those left to cherish his memories are his significant other of 36 years, Jeraldine Allen; sons, Ray Avans and Mike Rust; daughters, Karen (Danny) Phillips and Lisa Rust; sisters, Agnes (Dudley) Rector, Irene Ledford and Eloise (Patrick) Hood along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loyal friends.
The family will have a graveside service on Monday, Aug. 10, at 11 a.m. CDT at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, with Junior Guy officiating.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations to be made to a charity of your choice in “Memory of Johnny “Bad Eye” Evans”.
