Roy Harding
Roy Merle Harding, 77, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, was found in his home on July 13, 2020.
Roy was born on July 16, 1942, in West Wheatfield Twp., Pa., to the late Raymond Blair Harding and Viola (Marshall) Harding Closson.
He was the first in his family to attend college where he earned his undergraduate degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Pennsylvania. After teaching for one year, he was recruited to be one of the first computer programmers.
He was the loving father of Cynthia (John) Kouvaras of Penn Hills, Pa; grandfather of Nicholas and Christopher of Penn Hills, Pa.; brother of Jane E. Mackin of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Paul R. Closson, Jr. of Lexington, S.C.; uncle to four nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Clarrie A. Newell.

Per Roy’s request there will be no visitation or no public service. A private celebration has not yet been determined.
