Billboards Help Introduce JustServe Website To Chattanooga

  • Tuesday, September 1, 2020

Thanks to the Plainview Group, JustServe billboards are up in five locations throughout the Greater Chattanooga area.

JustServe is a website and app developed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to help link organizations and volunteers for purposes of relieving suffering, caring for the poor and needy, and just doing good.

Officials said, "The site is for everyone, no matter religious affiliation.  JustServe is a gift from the Church to communities, religious, nonprofit and government agencies across America.  The site is free and the platform has become so popular that many local governments in major cities have replaced their sites with JustServe.org.  Organizations are posting their needs on the site and volunteers are using the site to search for places to serve in their communities."

“Tennessee is a state of volunteers,” said Phil Smartt, communications director for The Chattanooga Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  “We do our best to serve others and help where needed.  Todd Plain, president of the Plainview Group, and his son, Josh, exemplify what it means to be a Volunteer.  Without hesitation, they agreed to post five billboards encouraging our community to come together and JustServe.  I want to personally thank them for leading out to make a real difference in the greater Chattanooga area.”

“Whether we serve at a food pantry, help with tornado cleanup, make masks and scrubs, or create safe places for the homeless and refugees, we are building unity.  We are building friendships.  We are lifting the poor and needy.  Please join us in this effort and be sure to look for the JustServe billboard in your area,” Mr.

Smartt concluded
