Herman, Kathryn Fae Hamler (Cleveland)

Kathryn Fae Hamler Herman, 67, of Cleveland, departed this life on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Tennova Healthcare. Born on Sept. 25, 1952 in Brookville, Pa. to the late Dallas and Josephine Kougher Hamler, she grew up in New York, where she married the love of her life, and lived in Chattanooga and Bradley County for the past 42 years. She was previously employed at the Chattanooga State Bookstore for the past 14 years, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Daryl Hamler.
Kathryn is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 48 years, Butch Herman; children, Stacy (Trey) Kennedy, of Buford, Ga., Kim (Chuck) Hill, of McDonald, Erica (Matthew) Vandegriff, of Flowery Branch, Ga., Darl (Leslie) Herman, of East Ridge and Richard Herman, of East Ridge; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kennedy, Maddie Kennedy, Robby Kennedy, Dallas Hill, Sarah Kate Hill, Zoey Hill, Colton Hill, Jackson Vandegriff, Olivia Vandegriff, Reece Vandegriff, Gus Herman and Riley Herman; and brothers, Ed(Margie) Hamler, of Avon, NY and Jim Hamler, of Canton, SD. Several nieces, nephews, other extended family and a host of friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life and Homegoing for Kathryn Fae Hamler Herman will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24 at Ridgedale Baptist Church Chattanooga.
