Dorothy McCary Robertson, age 81, of Saratoga Way, Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday morning, September 22, 2020, in a Rome hospital.
Native to Chattooga County, Ga., she was born to the late Ruben Thomas and Laura Gamble McCary on Nov. 25, 1938. Mrs. Robertson, a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church was a retired return clerk from J. C. Penny Store.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by grandchildren, Bryan Vogel, Robert Robertson, and Star Cook; and several siblings also predeceased her.
Surviving are husband, Roy Robertson; daughter, Cheryl Vogel (Glen); son Gregg Tschudy (Connie); grandchildren, Steven Vogel, Tara McIntosh (Matt), Dillan Tshudy (Brook), and Melissa Tschudy; Seven Great Grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Russell Robertson, Beverly Houston (Timothy), and Clay Robertson; step-grandchildren, Phillip Johnson, Timothy Johnson (Angela), Jonathan Houston, Charlene Houston, Thomas Robertson (Amy), James Robertson (Amanda) Brandy Berry, and Holly Smith; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Friday, Sept. 25, at 3:30 p.m. from the Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Pastor David Hayes officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Social distancing will be observed. Inurnment will be at a later date.
