Jimmy “Dee” Tate, 79, died on Friday, September 25, 2020, at his home in Red Bank, Tennessee, where he lived for over 40 years.
Born May 12, 1941, in Rossville, Dee enjoyed NASCAR and U.T. Football. However, his favorite place to be was at the beach, with his family. He would settle in his chair on the back deck, smoke his pipe, and enjoy the ocean. He enjoyed watching his kids come and go throughout the day, always having something silly to tease them about. He was a jokester, first and foremost. He was a fun-loving husband and father. He retired from United Enertech in 2003.
Mr. Tate was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marjorie (Cooper) Tate.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Johnnie (King) Tate, his daughter, Misty (Carlton) Boudreaux, daughter, Vicky Jordan, son, Chad C. Tate and Chad’s companion, Jennifer Hubbard, daughter, DeeAnn Pullen, brother, Bill (Fleeta) Tate, 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of his life was held on Saturday, Sept. 26. No further service will be held due to the current pandemic situation. “Go rest high on that mountain Daddy. We will see you soon! Your loving family”.
