Winchester's Jadon Frame won the Topless Outlaw Late Model series $3,000 feature Saturday night at Mountain View Raceway just North of Chattanooga up Hwy. 27. Frame held off track dominator Jesse Lowe and Friendsville's Ruben Mayfield for the victory. Cleveland's John Ownbey was 5th, behind Kenny Collins. Points leader Kyle Courtney was 15th just ahead of Chattanooga's Ronnie Johnson.
At I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater the Open Wheel Modifieds took centerstage and Kentucky's Brandon Kinzer was victorious. Georgian Brandon Overton of Evans, stayed close to home and picked up the $4,054 Southern All-Star Super Late Model victory at Senoia Raceway for the Wells Motorsports team.
Speaking of Georgians, Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville finished second to Tim McCreadie of New York at the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model series event in Indiana Saturday. Brandon Sheppard (# 1) won the World of Outlaws Late Model series feature in Pennsylvania. Friday's winner Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg was 24th overall.
Soddy Daisy's Jordan Rodabaugh (# 66) beat Georgia's Cass Fowler and Lamar Scoggins of Cleveland, Saturday at North Georgia Speedway in Dalton/Chatsworth. Junior Whitner (# 1) of Blue Ridge won Crate Late Model and Chattanooga's Booger Brooks (# 48) was the winner in the Red Clay Series 602/Sportsman feature over 27 other competitors. The third and final race of the three race mini-series is Friday, Oct. 23, in Senoia, Ga.
