Shelbia Smith
Shelbia Jean Hampton Smith, 80, of LaFayette, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020.
She was a member of New Harvest Baptist Church. Jean was a loving childcare giver for WEE Care at LaFayette First Baptist Church for 32 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude L. Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Pennie (Joseph) Smith Dill; son, Donald (Digna) Smith; grandchildren, Tyler (Chelsi), Dezireé, Amanda, Jean, and Donald; great-grandchildren, Avery, Casey, Taylor, and Catlin; and several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service will be held in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Brooks officiating.
Interment at LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held for friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
