Christopher Thomas “Tommy” Elkins II
Christopher Thomas “Tommy” Elkins II, 37, of Hixson, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020, in his home.
He was born in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia to Chris and Diedra Elkins.
Tommy was creative working with wood, loved joking with everyone and making you smile. He had a big heart doing for others before doing for himself and dearly loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Otis Elkins and Raymond Richardson; cousins, Justin and Chrystal Coates; aunt, Deborah Richardson and Uncle Steve Elkins.
Survivors include his parents, Chris and Diedra Elkins; Children, Donavan, Sam, Trey, Will, Olivia, Eli and Destiny; grandmothers, Claudette Elkins and Juanell Richardson; stepbrother, Ricky Scissom; lifelong friend, Kenneth Branch and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 1, at 11 a.m. at South Seminole Baptist Church with Drew Tankersley officiating. Interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens South. Serving as pallbearers will be: Donavan Jarret, Ricky Scissom, Keith McGill, Kenny Branch, Steve Chmielorz, and Mike Scissom.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
