Following a successful virtual induction of the Class of 2020, sports fans will be able to once again walk through the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame beginning on Tuesday.
“We’re excited to welcome visitors back to the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame,” said Brad Willis, chief advancement and operations officer for the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
“Our museum serves as a testament to the many individuals and accomplishments that have graced our great state. Our goal is to give people an opportunity to tour the Hall, but do so in a safe manner.”
Under the guidance of the CDC, state and local health departments to continue efforts in slowing the spread of COVID-19, the hall will open at 50% capacity and require masks upon entrance for staff and guests. Increased sanitization of high-touch surfaces will be implemented and social distancing of 6 feet or greater is encouraged.
Fans of all sports can now see the banners erected to honor the Class of 2020 as well as explore memorabilia, hear stories and more about Tennessee’s legendary athletes like Peyton Manning and iconic coaches like Pat Summitt. Kids can play a variety of activities throughout the exhibition space.
The Hall will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Tuesdays-Saturdays. It is located inside Bridgestone Arena at 501 Broadway in downtown Nashville. Guests should enter through the Visit Music City Visitor Center at the corner of 5th and Broadway. Current ticket prices are $3 for adults and $2 for children and can be purchased at the Music City Shop before entering the Hall. Group rates for 10 or more visitors are available.
