Georgia Coronavirus Deaths Top 7,000; 1,779 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Wednesday there have been an additional 29 deaths due to the coronavirus. The new total is 7,021.

There were 1,779 new cases as that total reached 318,026 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 28,522, up 183 from Tuesday. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 1,202 cases, up 9; 18 deaths; 77 hospitalizations, down 1

Chattooga County: 784 cases, up 13; 22 deaths; 55 hospitalizations, up 1

Dade County: 286 cases, up 4; 5 deaths; 21 hospitalizations, up 1

Walker County: 1,569 cases, up 17; 36 deaths; 81 hospitalizations, up 1

Whitfield County: 4,625 cases, up 40; 60 deaths; 241 hospitalizations
