The County School Board is set to vote Thursday for a new field house for East Ridge High School.
Tricorn Inc. had the low bid of $796,000.
The school has been without a field house since 2015 when the city of East Ridge condemned the old concrete bleachers at the football stadium. The section had housed locker rooms, coaches offices and other facilities.
The County Schools in 2016 began construction on aluminum stands seat some 1,200 fans, but omitted a field house.
Tucker McClendon, District 8 School Board members, said, “This will provide all of our student athletes with a modern facility so they can not only be the best in the classroom, but on the field as well.”
Funding will come from county school capital funds.
