Clara Ruth Davis, 81, passed away on January 12, 2021, surrounded by family. She was raised in Apison, but spent the remainder of her life in Cleveland. She enjoyed precious moments with family and friends. She loved her cat, Big Foot, and she talked to everyone she met. She loved the Lord and would do anything for anyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Reita Carter; son, Ernest Dewayne Davis; brother, Johnny Carter; and great-grandsons, Aaron and Andrew Davis.
She leaves behind her children, Dale (Cyndie) Davis, Sheila (Jerry) Elrod and Darryl Davis; brother, Kenny Carter; two grandsons, Zachary Davis and Brad Davis; and granddaughter, Keisha Baker. She also leaves behind a special daughter, Hollie Simons, and great-grandchildren, Luciana, Eli, Sam and Pendell Davis.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Jan. 16 from noon-2 p.m. in the Chapel of Companion Funeral Home, 2415 Georgetown Road, NW in Cleveland.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Clara will be laid to rest in Plowman Cemetery immediately following the service.
