Carver, Irie "Bud" (Benton)

Irie “Bud” Carver, 92, of Benton, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

Bud was a lifelong resident of Polk County and a farmer, working at McClure’s Farm for over 50 years. He was a member of the Archville Baptist Church in Reliance.

Bud was preceded in death by father, Joe Carver; mother, Amanda Shell Carver; brother, Joe Carver, Jr.; and sisters, Ima Gene Dunn Wilcox and Betty Ruth Black.

He is survived by his sister, Ailene Wilcox, of Polk County; brother, Harold Carver, of Polk County; and sisters, Grace Webb, of Telico and Florine Jenkins, of Cleveland.

The family will be receiving visitors at Serenity of Etowah on Tuesday, Jan. 19 from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, Jan. 20 in the chapel at 1 p.m., with Blake Wilcox singing and Reverends Jake Brown and Willfred Wright officiating, and the interment directly following at Archville Cemetery in Reliance.

Pallbearers include Blake Wilcox, Dean Carver, Stacey Wilcox, Danny Carver, John Kinkaid and Brett Wilcox.
