Claudia Mae Calloway, 71, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in a local hospital.

She was a house wife and long-time faithful Jehovah's Witness. She was born in Thomason, Al. on March 6, 1949 to James and Mary Lou Moore. Claudia learned cosmetology from her mother and enjoyed beautifying many. On Dec. 17, 1966 she married her high school sweetheart. Her love for Jehovah moved her to dedicate her life to Him in 1974. She faithfully served Jehovah till the end. Our lovely mother was patient, kind, hospitable and such a modest woman. Even though she will be greatly missed, we know she will not sleep alone. Her Best Friend, God and comforter has promised to "Swallow up death forever," (Isaiah 25:8). A hope she believed deep in her heart.

Claudia is survived by her husband, Harold E. Calloway Sr.; her children, Tawanna Bumpus, Tracy Calloway and Harold E. Calloway, Jr.; one grandson, Drake H. Bumpus; brother, James (Bridget) Moore, Sarah Moore, Patricia (Jimmy) Smith, Evelyn Douglas and Vernon (Christy) Moore.

She was preceded in death by her father, James (Jean) Moore; mother, Mary Lou Moore; and sister, Jackie Moore. She was loved by a host of nieces and nephews, from around the world.

Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc.
