Fred D. Ledford
Fred D. Ledford, age 83, of Dalton, Georgia, went to be with the Lord, January 25, 2021 at NHC of Chattanooga.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Eva Whaley Ledford; and a brother, Coy Ledford.
He was a member of Concord Baptist Church of Cohutta. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ownby Ledford of the residence; daughters, Lisa and Mike Putnam, Angela and Gary Jones and Tammy and Donnie Bates; sister and brother -in-law, Joyce and Eddie Langford; six grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Rev. Scott Hale and Rev. Clay Sutton officiating.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer Association.
The family ask that COVID-19 precautions be observed by wearing a mask and social distancing.
