John A. Ross, Jr.
John A. Ross, Jr., 52, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Ross had lived in Cleveland most of his life. He was a devout Christian that enjoyed spreading the gospel. He never met a stranger and would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed all forms of art including painting, writing, floral and interior design.
He was preceded in death by his father, John A. Ross, Sr.; grandmother, Flora McDaniel; and uncle, Roy McDaniel.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Ross; loving wife, Michelle Ross; daughter, Rachel Ross; other children, Amanda Callahan, Jeremy Ross, Justin Ross; uncle, James Edwin McDaniel and wife, Mary McDaniel; and Lynn McDaniel, wife of his late uncle, Roy McDaniel.
Special thanks to Lora and Michelle, nurses from Hearth Hospice for their kindness and love; and to Food City managers, Greg Jones, Blake Caylor, Janice McIntyre and Erin Dobbs.
A celebration of his life will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Steven Law and Reverend Bobby Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Old McDonald Cemetery with immediate family and pallbearers include: Steven Law, Landin Petz, Bobby Stewart, Lee Wommer, Shawn Edmison, Russell Callahan, and Timothy Standley serving as honorary pallbearer. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday, Jan. 31.
