William Franklin Smith, Sr., 73, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at his home.

 

William retired as a plumber after many years of service and was a member of East Daisy Church of God.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Pearl Smith; brothers, John Smith, Sr., Buddy Smith and Ernest Smith; sisters, Louise Garcia and Betty Jean Hindman.

 

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Smith; sons, William Smith, Jr., Greg Smith and Danny (Mary) Smith; brothers, David and Raymond Smith; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 10, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Melvin Walker and Bishop Jackie Penney officiating. Interment will follow in Smith Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 12-8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9, at the funeral home.

 

We respectfully request that “social distancing”, wearing masks at all times, and all CDC guidelines and measures be adhered to at the funeral home and the cemetery.
