For the second time this season, Lee University’s women’s cross country team swept the Gulf South Conference weekly honors. Celine Ritter was named the GSC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week and Danielle Horter was selected the GSC Women’s Cross Country Freshman of the Week.

She finished 18 seconds ahead of her closest competitor and helped the Lady Flames win the team competition by 29 points.
Horter set a new Lee University freshman 5K record. Her time of 17:46.38 was third-best among Lee runners and placed her 11th overall.
As a result of the team’s performance this past weekend, the Lady Flames remained the top-rated team in the South Region. Saint Leo leapfrogged Tampa for No. 2. Tampa landed at No. 3 with Mississippi College at No. 4 and Alabama Huntsville at No. 5.
