Covenant men's golf freshman Grant Little was named the USA South Rookie of the Week, for the period ending on Oct. 12, announced the conference on Wednesday.
It is the first career weekly award for Little and he becomes the second golfer in program history to garner the honor (Will DeMersseman, 2018).
A freshman from Evans, Ga., Little placed in a tie for 11th overall, out of 39 golfers, at the Piedmont Fall Invitational on Oct. 4. Little posted a season-tying low round of 76 to pace the Scots to a third-place finish in the tournament.
On the year, Little has played in all three events and carded a 76 on two occasions.
Covenant will complete its fall schedule on Oct.
25-26 at the Chick-fil-A Invitational at the Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, Ga.
