Mowbray Pike Closure Announced For Oct. 18-19

  • Thursday, October 14, 2021
The Hamilton County Highway Department will be closing Mowbray Pike next Monday and Tuesday to replace drainage pipes.

Monday the road will be closed in the 200 block from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. The road will be closed to all traffic from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

Should the project run past 2 p.m., one lane will be open to allow traffic to pass with flaggers present.

This closure is at the bottom of the mountain and anyone living on Mowbray Pike outside the Soddy Daisy city limits will need to go up Mowbray Pike and use Montlake Road or Hotwater Road as alternates.

Tuesday the road will be closed at 519 Mowbray Pike. Once again, the road will be closed to all traffic from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
After 2 p.m. at least one lane will be open with flaggers present.

Residents living below 519 Mowbray Pike will need to go down the mountain to Dayton Pike.

Residents living at 519 and above will need to go up the mountain and use Montlake Road or Hotwater Road as alternates.
