Joseph Edward "Ed" Tallent, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda; his son, Andy (Mishelle) Tallent, all of Chattanooga; six grandchildren and his sister, Monica Jakes of Jacksonville, Fl., as well as several beloved in-laws.

Earlier in his life, Ed proudly served six years in the Air National Guard of Tennessee and as a reserve of the United States Air Force. He retired from the brick industry after spending decades with Key-James Brick Company, as well as General Shale Brick.

Ed attended Calvary Chapel Chattanooga, and later, The Chapel Cleveland until his health began to fail.

The family would like to thank Hearth Hospice and especially Barbara, his nurse. The care and support given was beyond measure.

Visitation and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Oct. 24, at The Chapel Cleveland, 2412 Wolfe Dr., NW Cleveland, Tn. 37311, with visitation being held from 1:30-3 p.m. and the service following at 3 p.m.
