James (J.L.) Clark, 76, of Cleveland, died Saturday, October 23, 2021 at his residence, after a long-fought battle with cancer.
He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He enjoyed gardening, Western movies, football, traveling and his R.O.M.E.O. Breakfasts.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Clark, of Cleveland; his parents, J.B. and Ruby Clark; and his sister, Alma Knight, all of Calhoun.
He is survived by his children, Jay (Jennifer) Clark, Sherry Clark Farmer, all of Cleveland, Curtis (Jeannine) Clark, of Benton, Daniel Mckinzey, of Chattanooga and Kelli Bryson, of Cleveland; grandchildren, Courtney Clark, Chris Clark, Jacob (Cally) Clark, Brooklyn (Cameron) Sewell, Dawson Hindmon, Victoria (Caleb) Powell, Madison Farmer, Emma Clark, Jesse Clark, Anna Clark and Mia Mckinzey; and great-grandchildren, Jackson Ross, Carter Fletcher, Ember Sewell and Carson Clark.
The family will be receiving friends for a walk-through visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland. Doyle Hawkins will be officiating a graveside service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at the Calhoun Cemetery by First Baptist Church.
