Dorothy Jean Pride, 80, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021, in a local hospital.

 

She was a member of New Bethel Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God of Americas.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Eliza Hester Hellen Pride, Sr.; and sister, Julia Pearl Stovall.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Dorthea Pride of Chattanooga; sons, Frederick L. Pride, Sr. of Chattanooga, Allen G. Pride, Sr. of Springfield, Tn., and Reginald R. Pride of Memphis; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Marshall (Linda) Pride of Chattanooga; sisters, Wanda Wellous, Marcella Nelms, and Edna Spralling, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

 

Dorothy will lie in state on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 9 a.m. at New Holy Temple Cathedral Church of God in Christ.

 

The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Minister Sherine Tillman as the eulogist.

 

Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
