Charles WIlliams
Charles V. Williams, 89, passed away peacefully in Norfolk, Virginia, on November 28, 2021.
Born in Calhoun County, Fl., in March of 1932, he spent his youth in the panhandle of Florida and Columbus, Ga. He met his wife of over 62 years, Helen Willerson, in 1949 and moved to Ooltewah.
After working for 25 years with Modern Maid appliance manufacturer in Chattanooga, Charles started his own successful kitchen appliance service business, Williams Appliance Service. Additionally, he spent many evenings and weekends refurbishing cars.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife Helen; son Charles Steven Williams; parents, Lewis Williams and Anna Lora Hasty Williams; brothers Wilbur, Burdette, Leon, Jack, and Raymond; sisters Lora Mae Mims and Ruby Willerson.
He is survived by daughter Stacy M. Williams, of Norfolk, Virginia; sister Christine Fowler of Panama City, Florida; grandson Tyler Williams; daughter-in-law Sherry Williams; granddaughter Carrie Williams; great-granddaughters Caitlyn Durham and Annagrace Cox; three great-great-grandsons and many nephews and nieces.
Family and friends are invited to the graveside service to be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.
