John F. Henegar
John F. Henegar, 60 of Ringgold, Georgia passed away Wednesday December 22, 2021.
John was born on October 29, 1961 in Los Angeles California. Even from the beginning of his life John had a captivating personality and that charm earned him the title of Gerber Baby that same year. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and graduated from Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School in 1979. John was an employee at Shaw Industries for over 28 years.
John was married to his wife Jackie Henegar in 1987 and loved her dearly until her passing in 2015.
He was a talented writer and artist who loved music. He was an amazing singer, musician and deep sea fisherman that never missed an opportunity to travel or see live music. His love for his family was unmatched. He was a loving father to his three children and proud Poppy to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family was his world. You could always find John in the stands at one of his children and then grandchildrens games cheering the loudest.
John was recently engaged to his fiance Rhonda Hilton Cooper. Rhonda loved and cared for John, never leaving his side at the end of his life. The family is thankful for the love that they shared and showed one another. John was a loving and beautiful soul who always took the time to encourage everyone that he knew. He never missed an opportunity to show his love through his kindness, generosity and attention. Anyone who knew John knew of his love for his family and friends. John loved his children, grandchildren, wife, friends and family with an unmatched passion. This was his life and he lived it to the fullest. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
John is preceded in death by his loving wife Jackie Henegar, sister Donna Brodie, mother Alice Heneger and father Donald Henegar. He is survived by his loving fiance Rhonda Hilton Cooper; daughter Kim (Brian) Copeland of Cleveland TN; daughter Kari (Mika) Vaughn of Cleveland, TN; son Matthew (Amber) Collins of Ringgold, GA; beloved brother in law Rip Smith of Nashville, TN; nine grandchildren: Bryce (Caroline) Copeland, Brooke (Justin) Jackson, Cole Copeland, Cade Collins, Macie Collins, Paisly Collins, Carter Collins, Avarie and Alivia Vaughn; three great-grandchildren Reese, Kysen and Luna and nieces Amber Regal and Tasha Dyer.
Funeral services will be held at Heritage Funeral home of East Brainerd Chapel, Chattanooga,TN on Sunday December 26th 2021. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. with a service following.
