Christina “Tina” Smith
Christina “Tina” Smith, 90, a resident of Hixson, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 peacefully at home.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother fondly called “MeMe” by her grandchildren whom she deeply loved. Known for her full of life personality and adventurous spirit, Tina enjoyed traveling, shopping, and most importantly spending time with her family and friends. When she entered a room, her presence was known and there was never a dull moment. She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Mae Setters, and her daughter, Judy Marie Dixon Lyles.
Survivors include her loving husband and soul mate, Bill Smith; step-children, Steve Smith of Chattanooga, and Lageita Ingo of Paris, Kentucky; grandchildren, Brittany Brannon (Bart) of Chattanooga and Jerry Lyles, Jr. of Cleveland; and three great-granddaughters, Taylor and Rylie Brannon of Chattanooga and Kaitlyn Lyles of Cleveland.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 30, at 11:30 a.m. in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sterling Jetton officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 30, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
Interment will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
