Helen Simpson, 86, of Cleveland, passed away, Thursday, December 2, 2021 at her home. She was a retired seamstress at Hardwick Clothing, after 25 years. Helen had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling and listening to jokes. She enjoyed wildlife, watching deer and feeding her hummingbirds. More than anything else, Helen loved her family.
She was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Mary Garner, Sr.; brother, Roy Garner, Jr.; and sisters, Frances, Leonard, Jeanette Allen, Crystal Burns and Judy Belcher.
Survivors are daughter, Debbie Simpson; son and daughter-in-love, Ricky and Judy Simpson; son, Jarrod Simpson, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, April, Deanna, Laura, Corey and Kevin; 10 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Kevin Mendel officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Private family interment will be held.
