Cross, Peggy (Cleveland)

Peggy Cross, 89, of Cleveland, departed this life on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at her residence. Born on May 5, 1932 to the late Willard and Neola Browder Guinn, she was a native and lifelong resident of Bradley County, and was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was a wonderful artist, avid gardener and loved spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Cross; daughter, Diana King; sister, Ethel Lea Swafford; and brother, Arlie Guinn.

Survivors include her sons, Dennis Cross (Sherry) and Dexter Cross (Geraldine); brother, J.W.Guinn (Edna); 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Peggy Joe Guinn Cross will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
