Dustin “Dusty” Michael Foriska, 37, resident of Decatur, Tn., departed this life Monday, February 8, 2021 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tn.

Dustin was born in Forrest City, Ar., November 17, 1983. He is the son of Sheila Hampton Foriska and Michael Foriska. Dusty spent part of his youth in Wynne, AR. and in Hickory, NC. He and his family moved to TN when he was in High School. Dusty graduated from Sweetwater High School in 2001. To know Dusty was to love him. He had a goofball like personality, loved everyone he came in contact with and would talk your ear off if you had the time. Dusty had various odd and end jobs in Sweetwater, TN. and Murfreesboro, TN. following High School. He loved spending time with his family and friends, traveling (when health allowed), playing video games, writing poetry, drawing, telling tall-tales, playing with the family dogs, watching movies, listening to Tupac, and drinking his coffee. When he was younger he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. His favorite teams were the North Carolina Tarheels and Atlanta Braves. Dusty was a true testament of bravery and a fighter.  He had the biggest heart and kindest soul you’d ever meet. He was a person of determination and true faith in the Lord. He fought 28 years against his Epilepsy. He had countless brain surgeries, experimental neurological procedures, IVIG infusions and hospital stays over his life time to help battle Epilepsy.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Norman and Faye Hampton; maternal great-grandparents, Henry and Ora Hampton, and Tom and Opal Rains; aunt, Sherry K. Hampton and paternal great-grandparents, Ed and Frances Foriska and Richard and Jean Rhile.

He is survived by his son, Jordan Foriska of Murfreesboro, TN.; mother, Sheila Hampton Foriska of Decatur, TN.; father, Michael Foriska and step-mother Trish Foriska of Sweetwater, TN.; sister, Kristen Foriska Roberts of Decatur, TN.; paternal grandparents, Chuck and Norma Foriska of Knoxville, TN.; uncle, Danny Foriska and aunt Brenda Foriska  of Sweetwater, TN.; uncle, Brad Hampton of Wynne, AR.; nieces, Kailey Roberts and Kendall Ellison of Decatur, TN.; nephew, Kaden Roberts of Decatur, TN.; great-niece, Isabella “Bella” of Decatur, TN. , ex-wife Miriam Foriska Boerger and his four legged companions: River, Penny, Tilly, Greta, Oakley, Tiggy, Polly, Sophie, Little and Taffy.
