Linda Faye Stinnett, 72, of Benton, passed away on Monday February 22, 2021. She was born in Benton on Nov. 18, 1948 the daughter of the late Nelson and Barton Cain. She was a member of Mountainview Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed going to church, gardening, playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her chickens, cats and dogs. She was loved by everyone she met.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Stinnett, to whom she was married to for almost 50 years; sisters, Mary Sue Cain, Mary “Ella” Stinnett, Margaret Baber, Martha Stinnett and Flora Britt; and brothers “L.N.” Lamar Nelson Cain, Floyd Cain, Floyd “Joe” Cain and Alvin “Preston” Cain.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Cindy Fansler and husband, Les; sons, Tim Stinnett and wife, Sheila and Stan Stinnett and wife, Angie; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Edith Jones and husband, Willard; and brothers-in-law, Teet Stinnett, Guinn Stinnett and wife, Brenda and Jerry Stinnett; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
A funeral service for Linda will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday March 4 at Mountainview Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest following the service at Old Ocoee Cemetery. Due to Covid-19, face coverings will be required for those in attendance and social distancing will be practiced.
