David Leon Lundy
David Leon Lundy, age 81, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at Ridgewood Manor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Bertie Lundy and one sister and brother.
Mr. Lundy was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served as an airplane mechanic aboard the USS Bonnhoffer.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Maples Lundy of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Chris (Sarah) Lundy of Union Point, GA; step-daughters, Connie Blaylock of Tennessee and Kim Maples of Dalton; step-son, Kevin Maples of Dalton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kerry (Lek) Lundy of Union Point, GA and Richard (Charlotte) Lundy of South Carolina; and four grandchildren, Destiny Lundy, Caleb Jones, Joshua Flood and Matt Maples.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove Chapel with Rev. Lem Clark officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 27, at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice in memory of David.
