The Lee University Composers’ Forum will host its fourth annual showcase concert Monday at 7:30 p.m. in Pangle Hall. The concert is an opportunity for student composers at Lee to showcase their original works to the community.

The concert will feature original pieces from students Noah Constance, Chloe Freake, Caleb Hinton, Miah Qumsieh, Anaka Schmitt, Dale Sipes, and Ethan Wexler.

“The music of these young composers expresses in diverse and wonderful ways vital aspects of what it is to be human, made in the image of our Creator,” said Dr. Austin Patty, associate professor of music theory. “The students have been working hard to create music and to prepare it as a gift to our community. We are very excited to be able to offer this concert and hear what they have created.”

Lee University Composers’ Forum is a club for young musicians who want to learn and deepen their knowledge of musical composition and to participate in bringing new music to life. The club strives to provide a safe and respectful environment for young composers and songwriters. It provides a variety of activities that aim to broaden young musician’s knowledge of musical composition.

Following COVID-19 protocols, guests will have temperatures checked and will be required to wear a mask.

The concert is free and open to the public, though due to limited seating, tickets will be required. Tickets can be reserved at: https://www.showclix.com/event/composers-forum-
