The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team hosts Wofford and Furman in Southern Conference action this weekend. The Mocs take on the Terries on Saturday, March 27, followed by a visit from the Paladins on Sunday, March 28.
UTC is 5-7 overall and 1-0 in league action. Wofford is 6-6 and 2-2 in league duals, while Furman carries a 5-9 record and a 2-0 SoCon mark into the weekend. The Paladins are at ETSU on Friday before making the trip to Chattanooga.
The initial plan for both matches is to take place at 12:00 p.m.
(E.D.T.) at the UTC Tennis Center. However, if the current forecast holds, action will move to McCallie's Strang-Voges Tennis Center. Saturday's match will still start at 12:00 p.m. and Sunday's match time is TBA.

"These two SoCon programs have been in the upper half of the conference year end and year out," said UTC head coach Chuck Merzbacher. "We are excited to have these two important matches at home. With only four schools advancing to the SoCon tourney, each match has huge importance."
Wofford dropped its last match 7-0 at No. 1 North Carolina on March 17. The Terriers have SoCon wins against The Citadel (7-0) and UNCG (4-3) and league losses to Mercer (3-4) and ETSU (0-7).
Furman has lost two in a row, both against Power 5 schools No. 13 Wake Forest (0-7) and Clemson (2-5). The Paladins have SoCon wins over UNCG (7-0) and The Citadel (6-1).
Chattanooga is coming off a 5-2 win over Lee on Wednesday. The Mocs scored a 7-0 win over The Citadel their only SoCon play to date on March 14 in Charleston, S.C.
The Mocs are 16-11 all-time against Wofford. That included a 9-4 mark at home. UTC won the last meeting 4-3 on March 30, 2019. These two teams did not meet in the pandemic-shortened 2020 spring season.
UTC is 13-38 all-time against Furman, including a 6-18 record in Chattanooga. The Mocs have dropped 16 in a row in the series and are going for their first win over the Paladins since a 4-3 victory on Feb. 22, 2005. UTC dropped the last meeting 5-2 on March 23, 2019 in Chattanooga. These two teams did not meet in the pandemic-shortened 2020 spring season.
