Gene Chastain
Gene Chastain, senior director of information technology for Life Care Centers of America, has been promoted to vice president of information technology and cybersecurity.
In this role, Mr. Chastain will work closely with the chief information officer, Terry Leonard, to ensure Life Care has the most effective implementation of cloud services, infrastructure and cybersecurity, said officials. He will have technical oversight responsibility for all technology projects, infrastructure and cybersecurity.
“Gene has been an outstanding member of Life Care Information Technology for almost 20 years,” said Mr. Leonard. “During this time, he has been promoted numerous times due to his talent, skills, hard work and dedication. I am very proud of Gene and anticipate he will continue providing critical leadership for Life Care.”
Mr. Chastain earned a bachelor’s degree in information systems and is a Microsoft certified systems engineer.
“I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of working in IT to find creative technology solutions to business problems,” said Mr. Chastain. “However, some of my youngest memories include visits to my great-grandmother at the nursing home in our hometown. Later, two of my grandparents received care at Life Care Center of Cleveland. A few years back, my mother-in-law received care and therapy at Life Care Center or East Ridge. So, I’ve seen firsthand just how valuable the Life Care mission and our associates are, and I am so grateful for the care that my loved ones received. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to do a job I love while serving our associates and residents as part of such an important mission.”
Originally from Chatsworth, Ga., Mr. Chastain resides in Cleveland with his wife, Bridgette, and daughters, Olivia and Maggie.
