Doris Wilson, 89, passed away on April 9, 2021. 

Doris was a member of Crossing Church, but often visited Valley View Baptist in Flintstone, Ga.  She loved sewing, cross stitch, quilting, and crafts.  Doris lived life to the fullest, celebrating her 80th birthday whitewater rafting on the Ocoee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; parents, William and Laura Zipp, and brother, Charles Zipp.

Doris is survived by her sons, Fred (Anita) Carter, Charles Carter, Mike (Tracy) Carter, Eddie Shelley, and Boyd (Tina) Lankford; daughter, Beverly (Dave) Lisenby; brother, Edwin (Nancy) Zipp; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 12, from 5–8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Highway 58. 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 13, in the chapel at 11 a.m. with Dr. Jeff Brown officiating.

Doris will be laid to rest in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.
