Mr. Arthur James Howard, 73, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021, in Chattanooga.
 
He was a 1966 graduate of Riverside High School. Arthur was a veteran of the Vietnam war, having served in the United States Army. He enjoyed sports cars and sports of all kinds. He played casual games of basketball. Arthur was a former employee of Quaker Oats Corporation.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Howard, Sr., and Mrs. Carrie Mae Howard; siblings, Willie Howard, Arthur Howard, Jr., and Carrie Mae Howard.

He leaves precious memories to his devoted caregivers, Mark Stolpmann and Franscott McClure; brothers, Jimmy Howard (Paulette), Charlie (Iantha) Howard; sister, Helen (Will) Shackleford; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Public viewing will be held from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 19, at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. graveside service. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
