Baylor’s track and field teams competed at the Red Bank Track & Field Invitational on Thursday and posted some big wins. The Baylor girls bested Cleveland 176.5-77 in a 13-team field, while the Red Raider boys defeated East Hamilton 143.5-77 in a 16-team showing.
Big winners for the girls the Lady Red Raiders were Evie Culbreath (1st 100mhurdles, 1st 100m, 2nd 4x100relay); Jada Cooper (1st 400m, 2nd 100m, 1st 4x200m relay); Janie Pippenger (1st 800m), Julia Kaufman (1st long jump, 1st 4x200 relay); 4x800 relay (Ava James, Emma Thompson, SK Oliver, Ellie Myers); Emily Barker (2nd 100hurdles, 1st 4x200relay, 2nd 4x100m relay); Aliya Cooper 2nd 4x100 relay, 3rd 200m, 5th 100m); Mae Mae Powe (2nd 800m, 6th 400m); Sarah Snead (2nd triple jump);
Leading the boys were Harrison Williams (1st 110hurdles, 1st300m hurdles); Elijah Pegues (1st triple jump); Xian Campbell (1st 800m, 4th 400m); Alex Coley (1st 1600m); Brycen Sanders (1st shot put); Garrison Corley (2nd 800m); Marceo Collins (2nd shot put); Jack Gartman (3rd 1600m).
