David Reneau, 87, of Luminary and formerly of Ooltewah, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021, in Dayton.
He was born in Chattanooga on Jan. 14, 1934, the son of the late Jesse and Parthenia (Hill) Reneau. He was also preceded in death by his wife Julie Reneau, his sister Ruth Swafford, and his three brothers, Paul Reneau, John Reneau and James Reneau.
David was a graduate of Ooltewah High School and had been employed as a carpenter and cabinet maker. He served his country with the US Navy and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Frostbite House of Prayer in Luminary.
He is survived by his two sons, Kenneth (Vickie) Reneau of Norco, LA and Keith Reneau of Luminary; three sisters, Martha (James) Durichek, Mary Harris and Naomi Sims all of Ooltewah along with his two granddaughters Victoria and Erin.
Funeral services for David will be held on Tuesday, April 20, at 1 p.m. at the Frostbite House of Prayer in Luminary with Reverend Paul Daniels officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Reneau Family Cemetery.
