Three Game Series Between Mocs And Oklahoma Canceled

Scheduling Adjustments Within Big 12 Is The Cause

  • Saturday, April 17, 2021

Due to Big 12 Conference schedule adjustments involving Oklahoma, the three-game series between the Chattanooga Mocs softball team and the No. 1 ranked Sooners set for April 30 – May 1 at Jim Frost Stadium has been canceled.

The games will not be made up and no additional games will be added for that weekend.

UTC will remain idle as part of its Southern Conference bye week.

"Unfortunately, Oklahoma has informed us that due to a required adjustment in their Big 12 Conference schedule, they will not be able to make the trip to Chattanooga," said head coach Frank Reed.

"We were excited for the opportunity to host the nation's top team for the first time in our program's proud history, especially in front of a sold-out Frost Stadium. While it's disappointing, we understand it has been a hectic year for scheduling across the country and we remain committed to bringing college softball's top programs to Chattanooga each and every year."
