Linda Joyce Tawzer
Linda Joyce Tawzer, 78, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021.
She grew up and went to church in the Oak Grove Community and was a member of City Church and the Manning Sunday School Group. Joyce had been a hairdresser with Romay Salon as well as several others and retired from J.C. Penney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth Bramlett Rector and a brother, Robert “Bob” Rector.
Survivors include her husband, David Tawzer; two sons, Jason (DeDra Carroll) Tawzer and Kevin (Toshia) Tawzer; three grandchildren, Madelyn Tawzer, Drew Tawzer and Alexis (Kenneth) Morkrid; great-grandchild, Avery Morkrid; sister, Carol (Steve) Yarbrough; niece, Julie (Seth) Goodwin; great-nephew, Asher Goodwin; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Bednarczyk; special friend, Melissa Young and other extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, with Mike Chapman and Ernie Reno officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
The family will receive friends from 12–2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
