Hazel Usher
Hazel Rene Usher, 64, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at her residence.
She was a 1974 graduate of Brainerd High School. She was a member of New Vernon Grove Baptist Church.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mattie Jefferson, Sr.; and brother, Charlie Jefferson, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Erika (Christopher) Johnson; grandchildren, DeVonte’ Shropshire and Charles Russell, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Trinity Shropshire and Cyrus Shropshire; sisters, Doris Williams, Dorothy Copeland, and Linda (Warren) Hines, all of Chattanooga; a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 3 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Earnest Jefferson as the eulogist.
