Kenyatta Kwasi “Kwaz” Jasper
Kenyatta Kwasi “Kwaz” Jasper, 41, of Chattanooga, passed away in a car accident on Monday, May 3, 2021, in Acworth, Georgia.
He was a 1998 graduate of Brainerd High School and continued at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn Battle; grandparents, Ardell and Henry Battle; aunts, Carolyn Cook and Barbara Summerrow; and uncle, Billy Summerrow, Sr.
Survivors include his fiancée, Clarissa Garner; sons, Kenyatta Jasper II and Cameron Garner; father, Sadat Jasper; sister, Cummingus “Missy” Battle; nieces, DeKliah Kelly, DaMea Kelly, DaMya Kelly, and DaMari Kelly, all of Chattanooga; a host of other relatives and friends.
Kenyatta will lie in state on Friday, May 14, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
A family service will be on Saturday, May 15, at noon in the chapel with Minister Michael Malone as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
