Townsend, Audrea (Cleveland)

Audrea Townsend, of Cleveland, passed away on May 10, 2021. Born on April 29, 1934 to the late Norman Sperlich and Dorothy Hudson Sperlich. Audrea attended Belmont College and was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland, where she was a pianist and organist and played for several local Baptist churches. She loved sewing, cooking, arts and crafts and playing the piano. Audrea previously worked for Magic Chef/Maytag.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Norman Sperlich and Dorothy Sperlich; daughter, Carla Townsend; and sister-in-law, Barbara Sperlich.

She is survived by her brother, Carlton Sperlich, of Hendersonville, Tn.; nephews, Brent (Donnita) Sperlich, Chris (Kristi) Sperlich and David (Michelle) Sperlich; and special friend, Debbie Campbell.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-noon on Thursday, May 13 at Companion Funeral Home, with a private family service to follow. Burial will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Cleveland.
