The Lee women's track and field team took its final shot at reaching the NCAA D2 National Championships at the Lee Last Chance Meet from the Multi-Sport Complex on Saturday.
Celine Ritter recorded a time of 4:25.23 in the 1500-meter run and placed third in the event. Kristen Blevins dashed to a time a third-place finish in the 100 meter (11.86) and was seventh in the 200 meter (24.66).
Carissa Hall placed fourth in the triple jump with a school record mark of 11.87m.
Deborah Rubin wrapped up an impressive junior season with a third place showing in the hammer throw with a toss of 45.89m. Kendra Irvine set a school record in the pole vault at 3.56m.
Ritter will advance to nationals in the 1500-meter run and 5000-meter run. Toni Moore punched her ticket to championship in the steeplechase at the GSC Championship.
"It was great to end the regular season with such a competitive event on our home track. We are excited to see which of our athletes are selected for nationals on Tuesday," concluded Morgan.
The following athletes have declared for nationals based on reaching automatic or provisional qualifying times.
