Jerry Payne
Jerry Daniel Payne, 84, of Jasper, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
He was a United States Army veteran, member of American Legion Hall and was also preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Irene Payne; sister, Julie Norvell. Jerry worked several years at Paul’s Food Market in South Pittsburg and Big Daddy’s Fireworks.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Martha Godsey Payne of Jasper; children, Jerry Alan Payne of Jasper and Robert Daniel Payne of Nashville; sister, Jan (Dewey) Gilliam of South Pittsburg; granddaughter, Emily (Carlton) Payne Terry.
A graveside service on Thursday, May 20, at 3:30 p.m. CDT at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper with Reverend Roger Webb officiating. Military honors will be provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
