The McCallie tennis team had a strong showing in the Division II-AA East Region individual tennis tournament at Baylor on Saturday. Andreas Sillaste defeated teammate Colin Tuttle for the singles title 6-4, 6-3. In the doubles final, the Blue Tornado duo of Will Leathers and Gabe Getz beat the Baylor team of Manuel Achurra and Nic Cooper 6-2, 6-3. All finalists in singles and doubles advance to the individual state tournament later this month.
