Jean Ann Lovingood, 85, of Cleveland, passed away on June 10, 2021. She was born in Milwaukee, Wi. on Oct. 22, 1935 to the late James Garnett Mavity and Dorothy O’Neil Mavity, and lived the majority of her life in Cleveland.
Heaven’s gain is the loss to her family and friends. She loved spending time with her sons and their families, as well as her extensive group of friends and her many cousins. Jean Ann was a loyal friend and dedicated member of First Baptist Cleveland, where she faithfully served as a greeter.
In addition to her mother and father, Jean Ann is preceded in death by her husband, James Lovingood.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons, Jeff Lovingood (Rachel) and Jon Lovingood (Tammy); brother, Jim Mavity (Carrol), of Katy, Tx.; grandchildren, Trevor Lovingood (Erica), Kelsey Harper (Luke), Riley Lovingood, Courtney Foster (Drew) and Tyler Lovingood (Brooke); great-grandchildren, Londyn, Leo, Layla and Katherine Ann; nephew, Chad Mavity (Tiffany Raczy); niece, Julie Maddalena (Michael); and great-nephews, Daniel, Benjamin, Ethan, Kai and Cole. In addition to these, Jean leaves behind numerous beloved cousins and extended family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 12 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. A funeral procession will leave First Baptist Church Cleveland at 9:30 a.m. Those attending the graveside are asked to go in procession. A celebration of Jean’s life will be held later on July 31 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church Cleveland.
