Charles Edward Burnette, age 80, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021.

He was the son to the late Robert and Susie Burnette and was also preceded in death by his sister, Ota Sue Cooper; and brothers, Junior Burnette and Ralph Burnette.

Charles was owner operator of Burnette’s Bulldozer and Backhoe. He was a ham radio operator for over 50 years and was a member of Wesleyann Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Sue Burnette; daughter, Cathy Burnette; son, Chuck (Selena) Burnette; grandchildren, Jacob, Megan, Elijah and Noah Chandler, Candis (Jay) Noland, Chad Burnette, Casey Burnette; and great-grandchildren, Haley Burnette, Avery, Abram and Azton Noland.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be held graveside Friday, June 18, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Johnny Ware officiating.

Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Avenue Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
