James Lane
James “Bronco” Robert Lane, 89, of LaFayette, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Lane; former wife, Sadie Burns Lane; and grandson, Jerred Wallin.
Bronco attended Woodland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post #97 and AmVets Post #91. He served as past president of the Chattooga County Saddle Club. Bronco loved people and always drew a crowd.
Survivors include his son, Larry Lane; daughters, Lisa Lane, Lorri Wallin, and stepdaughter, Lisa (George) Payne; grandchildren, April, Shane, Natissa, Tiffany, and Jeremiah; 7 great grandchildren and one on the way, and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 18, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel.
Pallbearers are Shane Lumpkin, Houston Lumpkin, George Payne, Jeremiah Payne, Dustin Mantooth, and Austin Lee.
Interment will be at LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
